    Morning Sickness VS. Evening Sickness

I have been told that morning sickness is a sign that you are having a girl; and evening sickness is having a boy. Has anyone else experienced this to be true when you find out the gender of the baby? I am 10 weeks and experiencing a lot more evening sickness, I want a boy. I already have a girl and with my girl I was sick all day up to my 5th month so I don't know if there is any truth to the evening sickness and a boy. Let me know what you think......Ick!

None of the tales proved to be true for me.  They were all pointing to a boy and I found out today that I am having a girl.  My sister and best friend were both very sick throughout their pregnancies and they had girls.  I have had very little morning sickness...two weeks at the beginning where I was nauseous and nothing after that.  They say that with a girl, your belly is wide and I am carrying out in front.

In any event, good luck and hope you are blessed with the little boy that you want.

Congratulations Shaila! Lots of pink for you. I go Tuesday and I hope I get the same results.

I don't know about the sickness thing, I always remain a little gaggy throughout my pregnancies and I have 2 boys and always spread wide in my butt and belly. I always heard that if you carried high and like a basketball it was a girl. Then I started reading all these websites and they say the opposite, so who knows!

Well thanks for the replies then. I am still only having evening sickness, keeping me from the duties of making dinner for the family. Maybe a blessing in desguise, well not if you ask my husband. I wish he was just a better cook. What about length of sickness, I was sick all the time with my girl, I am hoping with this one it stops at the end of the 12th week, I have 2 more weeks to go....? Thanks for the replies.

And congrats Shaila on the little girl!

Hi Lorie - I am pregnant w/ my second child and have your problem! Sick in the evenings - just as I was w/ my first - who turned out to be a lovely little girl.  I'm fairly sure that the only thing that makes you sick are your hormone levels.  I am in my seventh week and not having fun past 2pm!  But this will pass and I hope that you are doing well - by now, you probably know the sex of your baby.  What is it?  Take care, Ashley

I am having a little boy. The evening sicknesss was short, only experienced it for about 3 weeks. So far this pregnancy has been a lot easier than my girl. 25 weeks so far and everything has turned out great. Good luck getting through your evening sickness, the worst part about it for me was not being able to eat dinner just about every night for those 3 weeks. The hubby hated it too; he's not much of a cook and I was never feeling good enough to make dinner it would always make me queezy to smell the food cooking.
