Ok, well, I'm a self-professed nerd. I read a *lot* of novels, particularly suspense and thriller. So here goes for those interested in that genre:
- Anything by Iris Johanssen - excellent author, all books about female protagonists
- Faye Kellerman - very character-involved plot, writes about a husband and wife combo of a homicide detective/lieutenant (depending on which books) and his Orthodox Jewish wife
- Stephen King - loved It and the Stand - all time favourite, hands-down series is the Dark Tower series - start with the Gunslinger and go all the way through to the Dark Tower - you will not think that you wasted your time.
- Dean Koontz: The Odd Thomas series, Watchers, From the Corner of His Eye, The Husband - great books!
- Various books by Ethan Black, Stephen White
- Robert Crais - new favourite author!!! He wrote the book Hostage on which the movie of the same name, starring Bruce Willis, was written. His main protagonist is a private detective named Elvis Cole - very humourous yet riveting at the same time. Cole's partner, Joe Pike, is an enigma - and hot sounding too!
- Lee Child - all books are great - writes about an old ex-Army MP named Jack Reacher - if you are into anything related to thrillers and the military, you will love this guy!
Non-genre related: All I can think of right now is Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand, and The Pilot's Wife, I think by Anita Shrever...
Happy Reading!
