i just have a question about baby's and nap time. my daughter is 4 months old, and hardly takes naps at all. i will feed her and she will fall asleep, but when i go lay her down she wakes up crying, and refuses to go back to sleep. she does great at night, sleeping 8-10 hours straight!! i'm just worried becuase she only sleeps for maybe an hour throughout the day..anyone have any advice about how to set up a naptime? thanks!

Some babies are just not nappers! But at least she sleeps at night!

The other poster is correct, some babies are not nappers.

Other than placing her in a swing or going for a car ride and leaving her in the seat when you bring it in the house.....How long do you let her cry...maybe she would cry herself to asleep.  If you are a stay at home mom she may want you in her sight all the time....I would not let her cry more than 10mins, but have you tried that?

 Justice went through a short period where I had to wear him in a baby carrier in order for him to take naps. If I layed him down he would wake up. I was still able to get things done around the house and he got his naps. Good luck!

thanks! i have tried the swing, which works for about 15 minutes!! lol..i kknow i'm lucky she sleeps so good at night, i just wish she would take a nap, even if it was only an hour!! lol..my college courses are starting and its hard to accomplish everything without her sleeping....hmm maybe its just a phase?? otherwise i guess i'll be doing all my class work after 9! thanks for the advice!! its good to know my daughter isnt the only baby who doesnt nap:)
