I am 16 and a half weeks and my doctor allows me to take children's sudafed or claritin on really bad days.  But honestly, I took it once and my head felt like it was going to explode so I am just suffering with them a bit.  I would call your doctor though since you are in the first trimester and they can tell you, unless someone else on the board has taken something in the first trimester before.

I had called the hospital cuz i havent had my first prenatal appt and dont have a doctor yet, and one doc said i could take suddefed, and i was kinda leary on that, so i called again later and another said i could take clairitin, and then a nurse from the clinic called me a said i shouldnt really take anything, so i am pretty confused on what to do.. I just hope it doesnt last long cuz i hate feeling crappy.. espesially when i should be so happy about a baby coming..

I totally understand how you feel.  But I mentioned earlier that I took one kid's claritin and it actually made my head feel worse so I am sneezing, sniffling away:(  Hopefully you can have an appointment soon and they will let you know. I am not sure if my doctor said it was okay just because I was into my second trimester already or not.  Good Luck!

Yeah, Claritin is what your Dr will probably tell you to take.
