    This is New

My DD just turned 9 months on the 7th. Bedtime used to be a breeze with her until last week. She's now crying (and when I say crying I mean sobbing uncontrolably) when we lay her down for the night. She's taken it a step futher and is now waking up in between 1-2 AM and begins crying again (she used to sleep completely through the night). There isn't anything visably wrong with her (she has a full belly, isn't wet, and doesn't appear to be in any pain). If we pick her up she immediatly stops crying. One of my baby books said it was seperation anxiety. She will cry anywhere from 15-30 minutes before passing out. Do you think this could be seperation anxiety and of so how long does it normally last. It's killing me to hear her cry as she is and it's taking all I have to not run to her rescue.

sounds pretty normal to me. Babies just go through different sleep patterns.  My son still changes his all the time. Some weeks he takes three hour naps everyday, and the next he hardly takes one if at all. The good news is, they usually pass pretty quickly. Good luck!

Could she be in pain from teething? Tylenol her up before bed see if that helps...
