    Anyone else here?

Hello! My name is Debbie and I found out yesterday that we're pregnant with our first! According to my calculations and a little help from those online pregnancy calculators, the baby is due around Jan 13th. Go to the doc's tomorrow to confirm and get it all officially, I hope (still having irrational fears that my blood will tell them something different than my pee told me). Anyone else gonna be pregnant with me in the January forum?

Hello to everyone!! My name is Donna. I just found out last sunday that we are expecting our third baby this coming January! We are so excited and I absolutely love being pregnant!  I went to the Dr. and he estimates the due date to be about January 6, 2009. I have PCOS and never have normal menstrual cycles, so it's hard for them to pinpoint without any early ultrasound, so we'll what the ultrasound says!!  I conceived naturally while using the Diabetes medicine Metformin, which is a Godsend to any women living with PCOS. I'm going to be transfering to a midwife in a couple months-do any of you see a midwife instead of a doctor? I hear it's a much more personal experience.

Our oldest daughter Summer will be 3 in July and our baby is 7 months old!! They are the most beautiful and wonderful creatures in the world! I hope everyone has a fabulous and healthy upcoming 9 months & I'd love to share pregnant tid-bits and stories with you all any time.

Just found out a week ago today that I am pregnant with my third. I can't believe it and i didn't want to have another baby but we are already making room for the new baby. I am due Jan 8 no morning sickness yet! Probably means it's a boy! That'll make boy number two.

I also have PCOS and I do not take Metformin because I did not want to get pregnany although my DR. has always advised me to. That is why I am suprised that I am pregnant. I took metformin and got pregnant with my daughter who was born 11-28-06 but I haven't taken it in 2 years. But every thing happens for a reason. In Jan we will have a five year old a two year old and a new born.

    Re: Anyone else here?

Hi there! I am 6 weeks pregnant with a due date of January 8. This is my second pregnancy. I have 15 month old twin girls. I was not at all TTC so this pregnancy was a shock to my husband and I. My last pregnancy was terribly difficult, and I'm quite scared about what the upcoming weeks hold. Morning sickness has started and although it's bad, with my last pregnancy, I was in the ER by now...that must mean it's one baby and not two. haha. Good to meet so many other 'due in january' moms....I hope you enjoy your pregnancy....keep your fingers crossed for me.

    Scared...

It's so nice to meet you all! What is PCOS? I've heard women mention that other places but I have no idea what it is. And what are all your pregnancy symptoms? I still just feel like I'm going to get my period any minute with the slightly tender boobs and very slight once-in-a-while cramping in my uterus. My sister-in-law is eleven days more pregnant than me and she just started getting nauseous; I'm hoping if I get it it's not too bad. Again, it's my first pregnancy so this is all very new to me.

    PCOS is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

My sister has PCOS and her Dr told her if she didn't get pregnant within the next couple of years (which was about 5 years ago) that she would probably never be able to get pregnant, what is the med Metformin? If there is anything out there they may help her conceive and carry a child to term is definitely something she would love to know about. Any info is greatly appreciated! Congratulations to all on your new babies!

    Re: Anyone else here?

I was told that also. Metformin is a medicine taken by diabetic patients to regulate their insulin levels but doctors have also found out that it can help women with PCOS by regulating their period there for being able to track ovulation so that conception can take place. I started taking the med in 2/06 and got pregnant 4/06 carried my daughter to term and she will be two 11/28. This drug also helps PCOS patients lose weight, lower their chances of getting heart disease, and diabetes but it will make PCOS patients very fertile so if you are not ready to get pregnant birth control pills or a patch will NEED to be taken with Metformin even for a little while after you stop taking the med. For more info talk to your OB/GYN

    Re: Anyone else here?

Hey-congrats on your first pregnancy! The first one is so exciting and fun and new! (And a little scary too!) I felt the same way when I was pregnant with my first daughter. For about 2 months or so, I constantly felt like I was about to get my period-with cramps and everything. Thankfully everything was totally fine! I had a great pregnancy, but my daughter was a month early! She was perfectly healthy when she was born, but it was pretty scary when my water broke a whole month before she was due! It was okay though, everything worked out great in the end! I hope your first pregnancy birth both go great!

P.S. How do you get those cool pictures at the bottom of these messages?

Thanks a lot Donna! It's nice to hear that someone felt the same as I do, let's just see how long it lasts! As for the tickers, you can just click on one of them and it will take you to the site where you can get it. Mine I found under baby development tickers (after clicking on someone else's), and I just had to put in my due date and it gave me the code to put in my signature. For this site it's the code that starts with the fancy {url} rather than with the longer HTML code.

    Re: Anyone else here?

Hi Debbie my name is Tomeka, according to my lmp I am due on Jan 13th.  Congrats, my last period was on April 8th so the computer calculated from that.  I have an appointment in the morning as well! Good Luck.  Yeah I took to test and they both looked faint sorta. I could see two lines but the confirming line was a lighter blue.  I am worried because I had a blighted ovum that ended in a d&c in October.  Are you having any prego symptoms?  I have no breast tenderness, but I am hungry and sleepy all day.
