    Miscarriage nightmare: Anyone else?

I had the most HORRIBLE nightmare last night about miscarrying. A co-worker's wife is in danger of miscarrying so I'm sure that's where it came from but man, it was aweful. Anyone else have these distressing dreams?

Yes, but I finally figured that it was just a fear that I was dealing with.  I have also had dreams where the baby is a preemie and I do something horribly wrong.  Just my mind's way of dealing with the fears that keep popping up.Surprise

Yes! I lost my mother a few years ago but when she was alive, she shared with me that she had 4 miscarriages before having me. I am terrified. Is there something genetic about it? I feel like it may just be me missing her and feeling alone in this without her and possibly thinking the worst. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for her.

I only found out I was preg yesterday (with my first), but last night I had a dream my crawling baby pulled a bookshelf down onto itself and I couldn't stop it in time! =( There is definite awake fear of miscarriage though, especially since I heard it happens in like 15-20% of confirmed pregnancies! Probably not helping, am I? Just as soon as I found out I was afraid that something would take it away before it even sinks in that it's real. My sister had 2 miscarriages before having 2 girls and my mother had one between the 4 kids. It just seems inevitable that I'd have one too at some point. This pregnancy thing is scary!
