    Baby Girl Name

Does anyone like Emmalina, or Emilina.

We want to name our daughter an uncommon name and we like Emmalina but i dont want anyone to call her Emily or Emma. Also what middle name would anyone suggest with this name?

Mae or Marie for a middle name?

We have discussed this a bit before.  Where I live, people always shorten names no matter what you do.   I'd call her Em, myself.    :)

I would have to agree with the other post! I really like the name and Mae for the middle. Very cute!

both my kids now have a "z" in there name and my son told me before i got pregnant that if we had another baby the name had to have a "z" in it. he told me Zoe but im not really sure i like it enough. i thought about izabella but its getting too common. then one day vegging on the couch i thought of Jerzey. the concensus with the people that do know im pregnant has been Jerzey only a few like the other names. what do you all think. i also need a cute middle name to go with it. was gonna go lee but thats my daughters middle name. mine is lynn but not really sure that sounds real good together.

That is a pretty name, but with a four syllable name, people will most likely call her a shortened version whether you're crazy about it or not. Maybe drop a syllable to Emmaline or Emilyne.  The the pp suggestion of Grace for a middle name goes nicely.

No offense but I live in rural Indiana and, here, Jerzey (but spelled with an "s") is a type of cow.  I'm not too fond of it but I'm also very much a traditionalist and I'm not a fan of alot of "different" names so I'm sure there are tons of people out there with names that I don't care for.  But who cares what I think...Name that sweet baby whatever you want.

    Re: Baby Girl Name

I agree with the other posters....like it or not she will probably go by a shortened version of her name like Em....I did like the one poster who said to drop the ''a" and add the "e"....but to be honest, my name is Kimberly, and I have never liked it and only go by Kim.....it always seemed to formal and snobby to use my full name and I never did (only my mom calls me Kim)...there may be a very good chance your daughter would prefer to use a short version????

As for the middle name I do like grace, and like rose.  Emmalina Rose sounds very, old english...something in a romance novel...I like it.

As for the other poster with Jerzey.  It is very different if that is what you are after, but it comes off like jersey cow or football jersey and sounds more masculine to me.  But let noone stop you...you have to choose what you like...as for other names with 'Z' that is a tough one.....liza leeza, zoe, come to mind, and I suppose you could find a name with a "S" and make it "Z"

To everyone let's enjoy our little ones.
