Bumbo Sitters have been recalled -- and I know a ton of you have them. I posted the complete info in our recalls blog.

Oh give me a friggin break!   Of course you shouldn't put it on a raised surface and then leave your child there.  Are we that stupid?

Well, given the number of candle recalls I see -- due to fire hazard -- it appears that yes, we are that stupid.

Other stupid ones I've seen:

Fireworks pose burn hazard
Yard tools pose laceratin hazard

How about:

Don't dry your hair in the bathtub.

Or on salad dressing - shake with lid on.

Oh man, you game me a mini-heart attack when I first saw this!  I thought I was going to have to hand over my bumbo until I read the full details.  I'm glad it is nothing big (for those of us who use common sense when raising our children) because it would be tough for me to give up my bumbo! I guess I will order the warning label though in case I ever pass on mine to someone else.

i know -- it's tough when products we love so much get recalled!

 it's interesting -- i was researching this a little more today, and apparently there have been problems/injuries reported on the bumbos for months now -- seems to me it's taken a really long time to issue the warning, especially when kids have already been hurt.

i'd definitely order the warning label -- it's free and i think definitely worth it!
