4) How accurate was your doctor's weight prediction? Exactly right on. They estimated him to be 8 1/2 pounds.

3) Did his/her size determine birth method? No. I was induced b/c I was overdue and my contractions never got strong enough to aid me in pushing....not to say that I'd have been able to have him vaginally, but we made the decision based on my contractions, or lack thereof.

4) How accurate was your doctor's weight prediction? An hour before I gave birth, he guessed 7.5 lbs. Hahahahahahaha.

3) Did his/her size determine birth method? Partly. My water broke spontaneously, so I was on a timeline to have her w/in about 24 hours. I never fully dilated, and she never progressed past a -2 station. I also had meconium in my fluid, and was running a fever. Doctors all felt I was too small...which sort of translates into she was too big. The c/s was decided on 26 hours after my water broke.

4) How accurate was your doctor's weight prediction? I always measured right on track. I was scheduled to have an u/s which would've included a guesstimate of her size on a Wed, but my water broke the Mon before that.

I know I posted this forever ago, but if anyone cares...

Sean ended up being 8lbs 12oz, they estimated him at 9lbs 7oz.  He was a c-section baby, partly due to size because of my gestational diabetes but mostly because he had run out of amniotic fluid a week before he was due and they didn't think he could handle the stress of a vaginally delivery.

Just wondering...

2) Was he/she born vaginally or by c-section? vaginally, 2 weeks early
3) Did his/her size determine birth method? no

4) How accurate was your doctor's weight prediction? She was pretty accurate. She said he would probably be 7lbs 5ozs....so if he would of waited 2 more weeks to make his appearance he would of been close to that size.
