Smoothing Body Exfoliator
I love exfoliating. But this pregnancy has given me sissy baby sensitive skin that demands to be treated with more tenderness than I’m used to. I was excited to try an exfoliator for pregnant ladies—perhaps this would do the trick! I was quite surprised to find it an extremely rough, pumice-y paste, the likes of which I’d only seen marketed as a scrub for problem feet. The bright peppermint and ginseng scent was indeed invigorating, and even more evocative of a foot scrub.
I couldn’t discern from the ingredient label whether it was in fact pumice used as the scouring agent, but I did see that the second ingredient is Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which many natural-minded shoppers eschew because it is believed to be harmful. I’m on the fence myself but do try to go with products that don’t contain this ingredient, and it seems that many would avoid it altogether.
Overall Rating: As a foot scrub, A+
As a body scrub, C
Final Thought: I love this for my feet and plan on using it for as long as I can reach them. It is much too gritty and coarse for the rest of my body. Perhaps after pregnancy when I’m not so lily-skinned. I’d steer anyone away from it if they had sensitive skin.

All Day Moisture Body Lotion
This is a nice emollient body lotion that goes on light but has a lasting richness. I prefer something richer for my dry skin, but the shea butter makes this more luxurious on the skin than the texture of the lotion would have you believe. My skin is very sensitive at the moment but this did not make me break out. The lemon and chamomile scents are gentle and light -- however, every time I use this lotion I can’t help but be instantly reminded of a lemon scratch-n-sniff sticker from my childhood: it smells exactly like that! Lemon with a slight plasticky edge.
Overall Rating: A-
Final Thought: This is a nice lotion to have around & slather on after the shower. It is mild and moisturizing. If I had just tried a tester I probably would have moved on to a lotion with a scent that I liked better. I’d recommend it but would suggest they seek out other scents.
